Job Title: Dance Instructor

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dance Teacher to instruct and lead dance classes at our Christian Dance school. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a curriculum and teaching various styles of dance, such as ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and tap. Additionally, the Dance Teacher will have a passion for teaching dance in a way that aligns with our Christian values and promotes the holistic development of our students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a curriculum that is aligned with the school's mission and values.

  • Teach dance techniques and choreography for various styles of dance to students of all levels and ages.

  • Plan and conduct dance rehearsals and performances for school events and productions.

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and safe learning environment for students.

  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and technique.

  • Incorporate Christian principles and values into dance instruction and teaching.

  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the school's overall mission and goals.

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data.

  • Attend faculty meetings and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Dance or related field preferred, but not required.

  • Proven experience teaching dance, preferably in a Christian school environment.

  • Strong knowledge of various dance styles and techniques, including ballet, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, and tap.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Passion for teaching dance in a way that aligns with Christian values.

  • Ability to model Christ-like behavior and serve as a positive role model for students.

  • Active member of a local church and able to provide a pastoral reference.
