Be a well-rounded dancer

In our Summer Dance Workshop dancers will come together to learn technique and engage in the choreographic process through dance technique classes, improvisation and choreography exploration.

Classes will center primarily around Contemporary, Ballet and Jazz, with two levels being offered:

Beginning/Intermediate for students with 2 years or less experience

Intermediate/Advanced for students with 3 years or more experience.

Dancers can add extra classes in Hip Hop or Tap to their workshop experience  at the end of the day for an additional fee.

Dress Code

It is ideal for dancers to have all types of shoes and attire for each style. However, we recognize that some will not have everything, as they are beginner dancers or trying out new styles!

  • Any color leotard (required)
  • Tights preferred; leggings acceptable
  • Ballet or jazz shoes (required)
  • Tap shoes if you have them
  • Hip-hop shoes (clean soles – only used in the studio) – if you do not have these,  you can wear jazz shoes
  • Optional pants or leggings over tights for certain styles

We do have limited quantities of items that can be borrowed for Summer Workshop in bins at the front desk. However, we cannot guarantee availability or sizing for these items, and they are on a first come, first served basis.

Please let us know if you have questions about the dress code! The office number is 615-277-9573.

Fellowship School of Dance reserves the right to place students in the appropriate level. If a program does not receive the minimum number of students required, then the program will be cancelled and refunds will be given to all registrants.
